I find that often when driving a Healey, people will tailgate you just to
try to read the badge on the back of the car... and that's a pretty
dangerous situation.

If I get someone tailing me too close, I'll point the thumb at them to
suggest they back off. If they don't get the message, and we're coming up on
a stoplight, I've been known to get out of the car and ask if they have a
personal problem, or if they'd like one.

If its on the highway, and they persist, a handfull of change tossed in the
air sometimes gets their attention. (There's defensive driving, and then
there's times when the best defense is a good offense.) (I don't recommend
doing that on a crowded highway, but only with a lone a-hole tailgaiting.

Hell, with all the minivans and SUVs, the average parking lot at the mall
can be deadly in a Sprite.
