you should have seen the bugeye water pump-ectomy in the parking lot before
the start of the Pa. LBC rally two years ago! impressive!
but! remember this! the people who are doing these operations are long time
LBC owners who have done this before and are very very aware of that 1
stupid bolt that is hard to get to or the 1 difficult hose clamp if it's not
situated "just right" during reassembly! shop manuals are really good
places to start between text and illustrations. but there is nothing that
can replace shafting yourself silly on something that seemed easy enough to
start with ONCE! you never ever forget the "easy job" that took a whole
day or weekend because you forgot to put that 1 piece in that had to go in
there first or something broke because you were not aware how it was
supposed to come apart and snapped the "special order" or even worse"on
national back order" piece.
i get the rust and severly hacked cars and bits to work on here! most of
you would never ever consider fixing some of the stuff i have reconstructed!
amy had a quarter panel for her car and in a day i had the crushed one on
her car stretched out and in shape almost ready for finish work for paint.
but that's a whole 'nuther story! *grin*(i have the tattoo to prove i was
there!)

chuck
it's kinda like that old disclaimer ya see but usually ignore....."these are
trained professionals! do not try this at home!"....not quite true yet very
close!
doncha find it somewhat amusing that when you get some carpenters and
photographers and a computer wiz or two together .....they reconstruct small
sports cars at faster than published flat rate speeds? LOL! what a great
bunch!
