Boy I wish I had a fix for this! I've invented more bad words over
those stupid clips! I've had some luck using a vise-grip pliers clamped
onto the axle flange and jammed against the wheel cylinder. That at
least holds it in place. I've also had some success positioning the
clip over the cylinder and using a deep socket that fits over the
cylinder to drive it on. It works about 50% of the time. The rest of
the time it fly's off to roll to the most inaccessible spot.

The last time, it flew off, the cat caught it and chased it away. I
never found it. The cat however was very amused. His new name is
"Speed Bump".

I've got a brake job to do on the new Midget this summer and want to
figure this out before I start.

Is nothing ever easy, or even of average difficulty? I refer to the
circlip on the back of the rear brake cylinder. I struggled to get it
on, tried leavering it with two screwdrivers, and it broke. I then
tried the old one, and same. Before I go and buy five thousand of these
things, can someone give me a tip on fitting them?
