Thanks for the tips. I'll plan on getting the nose back up in the air before
doing this and adding some weight to the trunk too. I assume the rest of the
drivetrain being missing (the missing weight up front) won't affect the rear
suspension all that much.
Ed, Peter is only about 25 miles from me too! I buy almost everything from
him, good guy, has even let me scrounge parts from a shell he has out back. I
didn't know Peter at all, much less that he was so close to me, when I got
into this several years ago. The front shocks came from Apple, so I feel bad
about that, but I'll just have to trust them. One of the front shocks was very
worn (arm wobbling/loose) so it'll be better than it was. The rears weren't
that way, I wanted to give them some attention though, I hope they'll be OK
as-is. The money I would have spent with Peter on the shocks will still be
spent with Peter on other stuff. This way at least I learned a little bit
about lever action shocks, I guess there is something to be said about that
too.
