Hello Bill,

as you know, i'm south of seattle (about 120 miles). i can't
say you'll like seattle, can't say you won't. .. what western
washington doesn't have are, poisonous snakes, cockroaches,
bugs worse than mosquitoes, hurricanes, tornadoes, blizzards,
stiffling humidity, below zero temperatures, or extreme heat.
what it does have is rain, but its not really the rain that can
get non-natives depressed, its the lack of sunshine. that is,
its possible to go for a month to six weeks, without the sun
popping thru the cloud cover. if YOU are affected by this, get
some of those full spectrum light bulbs. they can REALLY help.

there is a nice ABFM in Seattle in July, as slightly smaller,
but much nicer one in May, in Vancouver BC, and the largest
ABFM on the west coast in Portland on Labor Day Weekend. also
some drives arranged out of Fife, (just north of Tacoma).
Be sure to get a place with a GARAGE! ..

one odd comment that i've heard is that there are more old cars
on the road here than in many other parts of the country. one
would think that they would rust out more with all the rain,
but since we don't salt the roads cars last longer than most
other places (except Arizona and California). ..

       Welcome to West Coast!
