You are correct, I don't have to ask my grandkids cause i don't have any 
  yet.
But if I want to watch a DVD, I need one of the kids to come turn it on.
Too many universal symbols on a remote. And I keep saying why don't they 
just put ON/OFF and leave it at that? THAT would be too easy.
Just like a radio in a car with no ON/OFF button.
