Straightened wheels, balanced tires, new kingpins, pins, bushings and 
everything of that nature (springs). You could always see that there 
was something wrong with the car -- the bottom of the sills was never 
close to parallel to the road.

It didn't go off to the crusher by my hands, and I don't know the fate 
of the car. But that's another (sad) story.

I had hoped to give it to my son for his sixteenth birthday, so that my 
car's history would parallel yours, but it wasn't to be.

Thanks for the whole story, Bud. I'll be sure to share it with my wife 
(who would doubtless respond that Stalin didn't make Hitler look good 
either).
