I have a MINI and when we were in Nova Scotia with it (from CT. It is a 
GREAT highway car.) we saw numerous Smart Cars and were behind one in 
Halifax for some distance. Amazing how BIG the MINI appeared next to the 
Smart. As someone who loves small cars, I would buy a Smart Car in a 
second if they were available in the States. And current crash 
technology makes them extremely safe.
