Yeah, I'm kinda clueless here, and it doesn't help that it's in French.

 

I think the answer to the fourth part is "distillation"??

Water is heavier than oil.
Salt dissolves in water.
Sand doesn't dissolve in water.
Water boils at 100*C, salt doesn't.

These are all physical properties of the parts of the mixture.

1 As far as properties of physics that explain the cause, I guess: 
2 Lighter liquids will float on top of heavier liquids
3 Solids dissolved in water can pass through a filter
4 Solids dissolved in water will be left behind if the water is boiled off.
