I think the rear end is actually narrower for wire wheels.  Either way
(narrower or wider) the whole rear end is usually changed.  It is not hard
to remove the spring mounting perches and replace them with other mounting
perches.  But, it does require some aligment and welding.
You probably aren't going to find a spare Bugeye wire wheel rear end.
If you aren't confident in your ability to align and weld you could take one
of each rear end (Bugeye disc and later wire) to a good rear end shop and
tell them you want the wire rear end to mount like the disc rear mounts.
They will probably get a good laugh about how small the things are but they
can do it.  You can find alot of GM cars and street rods with 9" Ford rear
ends so there are people who can make these things work.
I would think the SOS crowd could do it for you in about an hour.
