Brian....just some thoughts....

the only good way to get a decent read for
a decent needle on your specific motor is on a chassis dyno after possibly
gathering a few possible choices via Joe Curto's recommendations?

In CT, chassis dynos for "performance" tuning have pretty much gone by the
wayside due to basically insurance requirements but this may not be the case
in NY State considering there was a performance chassis dyno available at a
drag racing concern located just off the
main highway that runs east/west, along
the Southern border of Islip Airport.

I noticed it and dropped in for a looksee
back in early 90's when I was based in Islip
in my BUSEX days.

Don't remember the name of the place but
I'm sure one of the service stations located
at the juncture wherein the aforementioned highway serves access
to the airport would know, including it's
specific location. It's within 2 or 3 minutes
of the airport....really close by.

Other than a chassis dyno, installing a simple K&N (or other) Air/Fuel Ratio
set-up
and turning the car itself into a dyno will
allow you to test needles recommended
by Joe Curto for and on your specific, other than stock, application??

Best regards. :)
