My cannon intake has a balance tube.  I drilled and tapped it for an elbow 
fitting, up to a smiths  pcv valve, hose over to the can on the timing 
cover.  Initially it pulled too high a volume, so I put a restrictor in the 
line, and gradually drilled the orofice in the restrictor larger until it 
stopped sucking the oil out of my crankcase.  I also went to a non-vented 
cap, so that any air pulled through the system was being sucked in from the 
rear scroll seal.  Cut down on oil leaks.  Killed a few mosquitos during the 
trial and error phase.
