Mark, the smoothcase clutch fork and the ribcase fork are not
interchangeable. The pivot point on the arm attaches at a different point on
the tranny. If you try to install the wrong one it will not line up with the
input shaft on the tranny, easy to see if you try to do it. The other
difference is the way the throw out bearing is attached to the fork. The
smoothcase bearing has a hole in the end of the arms for the spring to go
in, the ribcase uses a clip. I think you could use a smoothcase bearing in a
ribcase but not the other way around.

Is there a difference between the 1275 and 948 slave cylinder other than the
hose connection? Bore diameter?, throw? and is there a difference in the
throw
out forks and why?
