Normally I wouldn't even bother with a dumb-a**ed question
like like this, but YOU being a "teacher" demands one.

Take TWO [2] pieces of the proposed material [could be of
any size] and using your silicrap glue together. In one place
[I would use a glass pipette or glass eye-dropper] and put
a couple drops of fluid FROM a battery AND some FRESH
battery on the 'joint'.

Re-visit the piece as needed over a week or so.

Methinks the "experiment" with be self-explanatory !?!

'Course I am NOT a teacher [Certified or otherwise].

Ed

PS: Has THINKING 'died' with out current "teachers"??
PPS: <sigh>
