OK the problem is on the ribcase trannys there was a difference in the sha=
ft length between the early and later ones.=C2=A0 When installing on a 948 =
the answer was to use a thicker 1098 backing plate instead of just grinding=
off the top of the lip on the thinner 948 plate. I can't help on the 1275 =
but if the archive is working I think Paul A covered when the change was ma=
de and the answer to your problem. As just a guess I think the later shafts=
where longer and your answer is in the backing plate, but like I said that=
 is just a guess.=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=

 David,

They should go together fairly easily.=C2=A0 If you're against a hard stop =
something is amiss.=C2=A0 I wouldn't force it.=C2=A0 Pull the trans back of=
f and see what's going on.=C2=A0 There are different pilot bushes, but the =
ID should be the same on all of them.
