Pull the hose again, let it fill the jar about halfway and then pinch the
hose off to stop the flow. Release the pinch. Does it start to flow again?
Your pump may be bypassing after it sees the first stoppage and may not be
recovering back to normal pumping.
After the jar fills you can try removing the hose at the tank end,
reversing the pump, and back flushing it.
You may possibly have a hose collapsing before the pump.
Try a different pump.

I am honing in on the problem of my Bugeye refusing to run mor=
e than a float bowl worth of fuel at a time.=C2=A0 I have a 1275 punched ou=
t to 1330 and fuel it with a single HIF44 S.U. carb.=C2=A0 The problem I am=
now having is the Facet electric pump running furiously like no fuel is ru=
nning through it, which it is not.=C2=A0 Tonight I removed the fuel line fr=
om the carb end and stuck it in a jar.=C2=A0 I turned the key to energize t=
he fuel pump and it started to cavitate and run furiously as before, but in=
a few seconds it bogged down just like it does when the float bowl is full=
