Look for "Rec" gas. Around here the alcohol feee stuff is called "recreatio=
n gas" and it's intended use is boats. But it's perfectly legal to use it i=
n a street car. Here it usually costs about a dollar a gallon more the the g=
as with ethanol, unless you buy it at a marina. 110 octane leaded race gas i=
s available at many gas stations here too, only $6.99 a gallon. :-)

That's a beginning. Pumps seem to like being close to the tank pushing fu=
el as opposed to being well away from the tank and pulling fuel.

I can't see anything from the outside of the filter, but that does not mean=
it is not plugged. Yes, I have tried running the fuel pump with the g=
as cap off and it was still cavitating. It only started pumping again a=
fter I disconnected the fuel line from the filter near the carb. Today=
