Ok. so here's my confession about doubting the knowledge of a parts
person. I was in my late twenties and getting used to a Weber DCOE on my
Sprite for the first time. I'd been supplied (as it turned out) standard
jetting for a modified engine with a K&N and began increasing jet sizes
before I even took it to the rolling road (chassis dyno). I was living in
Sussex and in nearby Brighton there was a specialist carburettor and other
stuff job.

I entered the shop/store and was met by an attractive (older than me)
woman, with long hair. She smiled and asked if could speak to someone who
knew about Weber DCOE carbs. She stopped smiling and told me 'I know about
Weber DCOE carbs'. I thought - yeah right!. Well as it turned out she
really knew her stuff, a lot more than the young ME and was also the first
person I heard correctly pronounce David Vizard's name (he himself turned
out to the second person I heard pronounce it correctly). Lesson learned,
don't judge a book by its (pretty and female) cover.
