Thanks, also interesting.  I remember old list discussions about collector
car plates.  When they abandoned annual car tax and then a couple of
decades late annual MOTs for older cars the big fear was that they'd be
restrictions on driving them, but nothing so far.  There is a big old car
lobby over here and if you are really rich you'll have a really old car
you'll want to drive.  I guess I'm young enough (58) to see how things pan
out when petrol cars start to disappear along with petrol at stations.  I
guess I will have to get a 50 gallon drum and hand pump in my garage and
carry a spare can or 2 on a long journey if that day ever arrives!  I don't
think anyone has worked out the cost of digging up all the streets to fit
charging points for all these electric cars along with all that extra thick
cabling to the sub-stations!
