Use Camloc fasteners, aircraft spruce has them and so does Pegasus. They are 2
part, quarter turn to fasten, but a bit pricey, and need to be rivited in. I
use them for attaching the side windows to the Elite doors. Fast Eddie

OK all youse geniuses out there...

I'm looking for fasteners for the rear section of my Ashley fastback Bugeye
hardtop. There are "L" brackets inside that need to anchor to the body.
What
I need to do is drill holes in the boot area with prefereably some sort of
captive threaded insert, rather than have to reach way the hell inside the
boot when seeking to remove the top. Then, if I want to race it sans top, I
  can do so easily.

Point me toward a place that descibes of pictures something like I'm
looking
  for.
