     Les;
     
     -I'll pass on the hand-holding with the TIDE. Say, do your kids glow 
     in the dark? What other cleaning products are you also intimate with? 
     What's your wife or significant other think of the time you spend with 
     these products vs. them? Do you buy a 55-gallon drum of soap & give it 
     to the family as a "group" Christmas present? (Coal-to-Newcastle?)

A much safer trick I learned back in my biking days is to make a thick   
paste
from TIDE powdered detergent and water.  Spread it on, let it soak, then   
brush
and rinse.  Works remarkably well as a degreaser (hold some in your hand   
&
feel
the heat!).
     
     
Tide is also very effective as a paint remover
