Hopefully my "Lucas Headlamp" letter is stuck somewhere in the Daemon
and will get out. The really GOOD Lucas tripod was the one with the
flat clear front glass. Came up to 12 in. in diameter. Had a pair of 7
inchers on my XK120M. They looked really great, and performed very well
for their day. Haven't seen them offered, just the ugly curved new ones.
I am currently storing my lucas sealed beams and am running Hella
halogens with flat front lenses. These are superb, and can have very
bright halogens fitted. But that would be illegal here, so we won't do
it (;>. They can knock your eyes out if you get your eyes below the
center of the bulb even on low beams.
BTW. If the Cobra versions have replaceable halogens, instead of sealed
beams, they can up their lumens (;>
