If you are installing a 6 bladed Maverick fan, you need to trim the corner
that interferes with the steering rack only.The closer the gap to the fan
shroud and the larger the diameter, the more efficient it moves air. Approx.
1/3 of the blade should extend behind the shroud.
Blades of automotive fans are asymetrical to reduce noise. If they weren't
they would generate a regular frequency like a siren.
I have found through instrumentated testing under measured ambiant
conditions, that the Maverick fan improves idle and low speed cooling only up
to 65-70 mph.
