The Z in the FORD part number C4DZ, I believe is a warehouse
designation. (?)
I have installed 2 C9DZ - 8600 - A 6 bladed FORD fan blades with NO
trimming and NO problems. I installed one on my MKIA and one on a
MKII. Yes the blades are close to the rack but they do not hit.
The distance I used for the water pump hub as described in the service
manual are as follows;
260 4.875" alum water pump
289 5.1" cast iron water pump
These numbers came from the TE/AE Sunbeam Surviver Manual.
BTW both Tigers run steady at 180 F, my MKIA has climbed past 200F but
that was in a parade and popping the hood open let it cool right back down.
