I was at AutoZone today getting brake parts for my brand X truck. When
the parts guy came out to get a number off of my master cylinder he saw
the front half of a Series V in the back of my truck. He asked what it
was and I told him it was a Sunbeam Alpine. I mentioned that I needed
some frontend parts for a Sunbeam and he said they had them. Like I
really believed that!
When I went back in the store I noticed there must have been at least 10
people working in a store that normally has two. I couldn't resist. I
knew it was time for my favorite game. Stump The Auto Parts Man!
For 30 minutes they looked thriugh computers, books and scratched their
heads. Finally one of them said it was the same as an MGB with a
different name. I couldn't correct them because They were the professional!
They looked more but I told them I had to get back to work. They said
they would call me when they found it.
I'll let you know the outcome but I think I have stumped the auto parts man!
