Bob,

Presuming you have the "TIGER" valve covers, it can be made
to work.  You need to cut some round holes, with a very good
hole saw, over the push-rod end of the lifter.  An end mill
would be better.  Presuming you did not go wild with lift,
or those really FAT rockers, this ought to do it.  You can
ALSO double gasket the cover, if necessary.

You may have a bit of fun getting the covers on and off with
the engine in place.  Not much clearance as it is.

Would want to CLOSE the valves on the rear cylinders (sorry
Dick) to allow the raised cover to move in or out of the
firewall area horizontally without the rocker sticking up as
the pushrod raises on the cam to open the valve.

Don't remove the metal splash tray if you can help it, it
helps distribute the oil to the rockers, and also protects
you from getting a face full of oil if you remove the cap
while running.
