Scott, and Tigers,

I would NOT remove the baffle in the valve cover, it serves a functional
purpose.  Or never open the oil filler when the motor is running.

There is another solution that is better, and doesn't interfere with the
purpose of the shield.

Using a hole saw on your drill, just cut clearance holes for the cap nut
on the rocker in the places they interfere.  This lets them stick through,
stops interference, and doesn't upset the shield function.
