Folks,
With the help of the "Bluegolfer" I pulled the 351C
and 4 speed transmission out of my Tiger II. Used a "come
along" attached to the ceiling with the Tiger on its wheels.
No big deal. ( Only had to jack it up before to disconnect
all the stuff.
Found a leaking freeze plug ( less than 5 years old)
Will replace with brass plugs. The starter for the manual
does not fit, 4 1/8" OD at mount with a short snout.
The automatic starter is 4 1/16" od at the mount with a
longer snout. Got one today. The ring gear on the manual
flywheel is on the leading edge of the flywheel. The ring gear
on the flex plate is centered, but the flex plate is dished back
to mount the tork convertor. The Block plate for the auto
and the manual are different. i.e 4 1/16" hole on the auto
and 4 1/8" hole on the manual block plate.
