Listers,
At the Autocross in Birmingham during SOS, my rear wheels were hopping as I
got on the gas after hard cornering. My Funbeam is a stock 260 with a 2bbl
and has traction bars. No posi. With closer inspection, I noticed my car
sits lower by an inch or more than some of the other Tigers at SOS. I was
told I need new leaf springs to raise the rear to its proper ride height. I
can get a local shop, Virginia Spring & Alignment, to "add a leaf to" and
re-spring the existing leaf springs for approx $250. Victoria British (I've
heard about their products)has new leaf springs for $130 ea. Can I trust VB
on this, or is it advisable to "add a leaf"? Or, is there another solution?
If you don't want to soil your reputation by suggesting VB, please answer me
off-line.
Thanks to all of you who have given me advice in the past but didn't know
it. I've learned a lot by reading this forum. Thanks in advance for your
response(s).
All the Best,
