Tony,

The casting numbers for the 5-bolt HiPo blocks are C3OE-B and C4OE-B. The
blocks originally came with an orange paint mark on the rear face (in front
of the flywheel). Of course, it must have the beefier main bearing caps and
high nodular iron crank with the letter "K" stamped on next-to-last counter
weight.

Don't let Larry scare you about the problem of adjusting solid lifters.
First, you can choose to use a hydraulic cam and second, it isn't necessary
to adjust them with the motor running. It is a problem though if you use
anything but the stock stamped-metal valve covers, since the cast aluminum
ones are impossible to remove without lowering the engine an inch or so.
