Here are the bearing numbers I found.
Input bearing Ford # = 8D-7025 Federal # = 1209MG
Output bearing 8D-7065 307L

I drained the Toploader the other day and found more water than oil in it,
apparently due to a few years outdoors. When I took it apart, only the main
bearings seem to have suffered. The output shaft bearing is marked FAFNIR
307KG, the input bearing is numberless. Anyone have an updated bearing and
seal list for the HEH-E based on brands known to us Europeans (Timken, FAG,
INA or SKF)?
While I am on the Toploader, can anyone tell me if it is possible to replace
the close ratio gears with wide ratios from Toploaders used in other Ford
cars
back then.
