I had a clear fuel filter on a VW powered dune buggy I used to have, the
filter ALWAYS had only about 1/4 fuel in the filter. I doubt this has
anything to do with the running concern.
Again, a fuel problem is not likely to affect only 1 or 2 cylinders.
If one side of the carb was plugged the engine would only run on 4
cylinders, if it ran at all.
