Finally got my Ram Air box done and I was lucky enough to have Photographer
Dave (Wacky Dave I guess) snap some photos at a cruise night and post them
on the web.

If you look at the back side of the hood you can see the pieces used to
"flatten" the sealing surface. I am still searching for some soft foam for
the front edge to seal to the hood but I am being picky I already have
something that works I just want something that look nicer. I am going to
try softseal and see if they have something attractive.
I have templates and am trying to decide how to do this. I may be able to
get pieces laser cut and bent but it costs $100 to get them welded up by an
expert or $65 by a not so expert. I used the expert and the welds are
beautiful.
I do not know how much it will cost to get the pieces cut but I do know
there is a minimum run of 25 needed so those interested give me a shout and
I will see what I can do. It is set up for the LAT Hood RPM performer
manifold and a Holley 650/750 DP. I have the stock K&N replacement filter in
there now but have room to run one about half an inch taller and 14 inches
in diameter. I will try to get one this week.
Not sure if it is any faster but I plan to get to the Carlsbad dragway to
try it out soon. I will also be at the Knotts berry Farm Fabulous Fords
forever show on April 27th if you want a closer look.
