I used a combination of a sander and a wirebrush on my drill to get most of the crummy red a previous owner applied. With a mop, I think. Then I used a propane torch to char the paint remaining in the folds, around the lettering, etc. The painting is well described elsewhere, get it CLEAN and smooth, prime properly, etc. I used a Nissan Silver because I couldn't find any hammertone at the time. Nobody's mentioned the color error, though. Stu |
