Look out using WD40. It contains water which will
only make matters worse with time. Pure silicon
spray is fine. But oil is oil. Pull the panel
and oil the mechanism. Apply white grease to the
gear teeth.

TE/AE has a tech tip on how to adjust the window.
fore-back, in-out, etc. Yes the wimdows are adjustable
and can be adjusted to seal against the top gasket.

While the panel is off, take the time to apply rust
converter at the bottom of the door. Then apply some
undercoating and make sure the drain holes are not
blocked. Tigers came with a black felt sound deadener
on the inside of the door skin. Now is the time to
add or repair yours. A piece of plastic glued to the
door under the panel, ala new cars, will keep your
panel from getting wet in the rain. 3M Super Strength
Weatherstrip Adhesive (AKA gorilla snout) works fine
and comes in black too.

Great project for those with a heated garage.
