Steve,
You must have a Mk1A or MkII. The Mk1's had a short shifter. Used to be
able to power-shift that toploader like a pro. Had my little finger wrapped
around the reverse lockout lever... then one day at the Madras dragstrip I
got carried away and broke my finger. True story.
