The oil line in my car Mark 1 B9472283 is original and routed as original. 
It is black nylon and routes over the top of steering column, through 
firewall hole through overflow tank bracket to block. Never in harms way 
from headers or sharp edges. Has not become brittle or shrunk. Regards,
