Hi Tim, The bar I built is about the tallest you can fit under the soft top (it pushes the top out about 1/8" on both sides at the top corners), so I could get you some measurements if that will help. I think that you need to look at drag regulations if you want to be strictly legal - some regs (NHRA?) require that you have the rear stays going through into trunk so that they terminate on the rear frame rails.
