New tiger owner and new to this wonderful discussion/chat site.
I just purchased (April 2006) B9473362 from a fellow in Winnipeg Manitoba.
Previous owner bought it in 1971 and was the second owner. In 1975 he took it
off the road and started to "restore" it. Well, a short 31 years later it was
up on blocks and still in pieces; unfortunately not the original 260 but a
289. Fast forward a couple of months, it is at my Dad's shop (in Winnipeg) on
a rotisserie and being taken down to the metal. I'm sure we'll have a number
of questions as this project progresses but for now wanted to know if anyone
knows of a LAT 79 hood available or how to go about acquiring one. Just one
of the "improvements?" we intent to make to the car.
Any information or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
