A thumping chuck-hole can bend a front frame member on one side or the 
other. Check the vertical stampings attached on each side, by the front 
cross-member, to see if they are vertical or at best bent inward the 
same amount. These things are called "Wheel arch stays."  They are the 
tell-tale as to what is really wrong....Cheers....Bill Carroll.....
