B9473720 has seams at both front and rear of doors through the rockers. It
has square
hood and doors but rounded trunk. I am lead free for health. ;^)

  Tigers, Tom, and Steve R.

My never damaged Tiger Mk I (B9472289) has the seam on the front seams of
the rocker panel and cowl, and rounded corners on the rear door edge and hood.
But no seam on the rear of the rocker panel, below door rear edge. See
TigersUnited.com Owners Garage for pics of my car, and a great many others
cars, including Maxwell Smart AND Don Adams, Theo Smit's Mk IA, and even Tom
Witt :-) , and Lew Spencer's car in "Marketing Materials".

Norman (TBON) (pp 159) states that from B947001 to about B9473100 had
rounded corners at the back edges of the hood, doors, and deck lid. The body
was leaded in the front fender-cowl, front seams of rocker panels. As well as
the many more details in The Book. Thanks, Norman for your efforts.

(Only the one who's had the name the longest should use it without initials
Heck, I've had it before Steve Canyon (Who, you ask?) ;-) )

Wow, that would really seem to damage the early car lead idea right ?
9470101 and 9473720 at opposite ends of the Mk1 both have the seam
below the door ? Maybe there was incorrect body work on one or both of these
cars ? Maybe the factory was not consistent in their treatment of this detail
?

  Steve,
Since then I have been told that Jenson originally filled that seam with
lead so early cars will not show a seam but latter ones will and both are
correct.<<<
I have B9470101 and the lower seam is there. Given that my car
has a skim
coat of Bondo on it, I assume the they didn't go to the trouble to create
the seam for no apparent reason. As I recall there is a seam near the top
of the fender and the cowl area. It is not on my car (could be the Bondo).
I recall seeing it on other cars. There are those who are far more versed
in this area than myself. But, I'm thinking maybe that is the seam (the
upper one) that someone was referring you to???
