The electronic contorlled butterfly exhausts have been quite popular
on performance cars since about 2005.. the aston V8 vantage, Jag
XKR's, Vette's Holden Bi-modals, AMG mercs (especially the c63) all
use this system to good effect.. i looked at a VAREX system for my
tiger back in 2009.. but as it was by remote and i dont have
electornic engine management to hook it up to and make it throttle
controlled i decided against it.. though i have seen them linked to
the engine on several Jap cars as an aftermarket install.
