Reverse on a Spitfire

On a correctly working Spit tranny:

Push the gearshift lever DOWN, then LEFT, then FORWARD.

On the Herald-based Triumphs reverse is exactly the opposite of where it
is on the big TRs, which is OUT, RIGHT, BACK.
