Spitfire Emission Control Systems

Are there any substantive differences between the emission control systems
used on late model, say 77-80, Calif and Fed cars?  My reading leads me to
believe that all of these cars had: AIS, EGR, Fuel Evaporative Control
(though I think this varied somewhat on the different cars) and Cat.
Converter.  It appears to me that in general the major differences were in
the carb used and perhaps the tuning.
