It is a bolt on....no problem.  The only real difference is the trans
mount.  It
was changed in '73 to make room for the wider "J" type overdrive unit. 
If you
don't have overdrive, there is no problem.  If you do, simply remove the
trans
mount parts from your old frame and weld them onto your new frame.  You
may not
have to do that, though.
