Hi John,

I had the BW35 in my 2000 mkI rebuilt last year, the cost including 
labour was GBP350. Due to the hassle involved in removal of the box 
and the degree of cleanliness required in any work on the internals I 
would suggest you get the 'box rebuilt as opposed to just repaired. 
JMHO.
