Thanks Roger! The Pertronix collar arrived Friday as you promised. Yanked
the head off the TR Friday night for gasket replacement. Had the new one
on and the car running at 2:00 that afternoon with the Pertronix back in.
The job came off without a hitch and the car is purring like a kitten.
Drove it up through the wine country to Calistoga Sunday afternoon. Lord
it was a beautiful day. Stopped for a couple of pints at the Calistoga
Inn (they brew their own). One pilsner one porter, a bit of the Black and
Tan in the wine country. Never have been a real conformist.

Again thanks for the help. You are a gentleman and a scholar. I
understand that a bad batch of epoxy was to blame for the failure. I will
send my damaged collar back to Pertronix for repair or replacement that
way I wll have a spare. As you have advised and I have surmised the
ticket will be to be careful and pull from the bottom when removing the
thingie in the future.

Deano
