Be aware that you get a good quality part. As far as I've heard, some
(most?) aftermarket parts have a surface hardness around 16 Rockwell,
whereas the real thing should have 58 Rockwell. Needless to say, the soft
part does not last very long. To me it sounds like that if they can sell
this shaft for $30, it may very well be of the inferior kind.

As well as having installed an inferior track rod end that look OK, but only 
lasted for a year.

Perhaps we should try to make a directory over parts that are just crap? 
Big items as well as small. Like the 2000/Stag sun visor clips that Rimmer 
Bros sells. Not only do they not look the part, but the rubber material 
is so flimsy they are completely useless for their purpose too.
