I just got a switch plinth from BPNW (they refer to it as switch
*plate*) for my 76 TR6. Although the grain seems a fine match for the
rest of my (original) crash pads, I noticed the plinth does not have a
metal bracket attached as described in the Bentley manual (instruction 1
under control cowl removal in the "body" section). My original does have
the bracket. The bracket is on the right side of the plinth (as viewed
from the driver's seat - LHD) and attaches to the metal panel under the
wood dash by means of a bolt which threads into a nut permanently
attached to the bracket.

Either earlier TR6s did not have this bracket and BPNW is using these as
their templates, or it is a cost cutting measure (after all the switch
plinth cost me $31 at BPNW whereas TRF lists for $46 or so).

Anyone with a switch plinth for a late TR6 from TRF notice if theirs
include the bracket? I am just curious in case TRF is better on this
item than BPNW and thus justify (to some extent anyway) their extra
cost.
