I plan to replace part of my throttle linkage with a part I got from TRF that
they call a "T56 rod, carb linkage." It is a double-threaded rod going into
two swivel joints. What sort of adjustment must I make after I put the
new part on? The Haynes TR6 manual says nothing. As the original part
failed before I realized what was going on, I had to dramtically turn out
the idle screws on both carbs to keep the engine running at idle. Those
for sure have to be re-adjusted, but I am especially curious if there is
any way to determine how far to screw the rod into the swivel joints before
anchoring it with the nuts also on the threaded rod.

The original part failed as I as approaching the Palo Alto British Car
Meet in Sept. My temp fix required my shoe lace.
